National Apprenticeship
Week Archive
Apprenticeship is a proven workforce development strategy that is recognized nationwide for successfully strengthening the talent pipeline in in-demand fields and bolstering business leaders’ efforts to recruit, train, and retain highly skilled employees.
Each November, we join programs across the country for National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), a time to celebrate and recognize how apprentice programs are changing lives and communities for the better. During the week, business leaders, career seekers, labor professionals, educational institutions, and other critical partners showcase apprenticeship programs that are helping people discover a new way to work. In Mississippi, MAP works with partners across the state to highlight programs and success stories, and participates in events that demonstrate the importance of apprenticeship in helping people find meaningful work, support businesses, and contribute to the overall economic outlook for the state.
The information below chronicles NAW activities and events each year in Mississippi.
