JerNeka Laird is a dedicated Registered Medical Assistant with a strong foundation in patient-centered care and clinical support. Originally from Mount Olive, Mississippi, she relocated to Gulfport in 2022 to continue advancing her medical career.
A graduate of Prentiss High School (Class of 2016) and Pearl River Community College (Class of 2020), JerNeka completed her Medical Assistant Apprenticeship through Singing River Health System, gaining valuable hands-on experience in both clinical and administrative healthcare settings.
Since beginning her career in patient care in 2018, JerNeka has earned a reputation for her excellent communication skills, calm bedside manner, and unwavering commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care. Her experience spans caregiving, direct support, and healthcare enrollment services-each reinforcing her dedication to improving patients’ well-being and supporting her healthcare team.
Driven by empathy and professionalism, JerNeka continues to expand her clinical knowledge while pursing her goal of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children and three miniature schnauzers, balancing her passion for caregiving both at home and in her career.
